Our Philosophy

Ångströ was founded to help people discover new information about professionals they care about, and enabling them to share and discuss what they find.

Fundamentally, we help publicize information that's already public and we try and fully protect what is private. As such, Ångströ takes privacy very seriously. As we evolve the service from alpha to beta to an eventual public launch, we will be implementing privacy policies that follow from our philosophy:

1. Ångströ discovers and shares information that is readily available or publicly exposed through search engines.
2. Ångströ depends on your feedback. We may analyze, aggregate, and share your comments and other user-interface gestures.
3. Information entered in private fields will not be released to third parties without your permission, or proper legal authority.
4. Ångströ will not store passwords to access third-party sites. If we do need your password(s) to complete actions on your behalf at a third-party site, we will only retain that information for as long as necessary to complete that action.
